| Activity : Members meeting Date: 01/27/2013 Time: 15:00 Place: Ben Jaddo Restaurant Description: A very fruitful meeting between the board and the members of MAHA. the meeting was held at Ben Jeddo restaurant in Bay Ridge. There was a presentation of the financail status of the assocaition along with its activities during 2012. Moreover, members got to ask questions regarding the performance of the assocaition and proposed suggestions to improve and diversify its activities. View pictures |
| Activity : Ramadan Iftar 2012 Date: 08/04/2012 Time: 20:00 Place: Party Hall in brooklyn Description: MAHA organized a special iftar for its members and their families on the 17th day of Ramadan 2012. A number of guests were invited and they were given a chance to wish our cummunity a happy Ramadan and also share the joy of having the iftar together with us. The event was an opportunity to update the members on the progress of the association. At the end of the event, donations were collected to support a needy Moroccan sister to buy her a plane ticket to Morocco. Special thanks to everyone who contributed in the success of this iftar. We do encourage you to register your kids for the school year 2012-2013. As a reminder, in our Saturday school, we offer classes in Quran and Arabic language from 10AM to 2:30PM. | Activity : Know your rights and obli Date: 05/20/2012 Time: 16:00 Place: PS 170 Description: The main topic discussed in the presentation was how to properly answer any question presented by the police officers. The debate also touched the issue of the hate crime and couple of scenarios of events that might be qualified to be hate crime.

أسدل الستار عن الدورة الثانية لكرة القدم داخل القاعة لجمعية البيت المغربي الأمريكي بتتويج فريق أسود الأطلس أستوريا بكاس الدورة بعد فوزه في المباراة النهائية على فريق ميريلاند بحصة 6-4 . كما توج اللاعب علي ابوراش كهداف للدورة مناصفة مع اللاعب لطفي اناهير ب 9 أهداف. في حين توج اللاعب عبد الرحيم فينيني بأحسن حارس مناصفة مع الحارس جواد بوشعاب.

| Activity : M.A.H.A community meeting Date: 11/27/2011 Time: 08:00 Place: 71-30 5 ave Description: The meeting began with a Word from the President pronouncing the names of the first members who helped launch this “House” followed by a standing ovation in their honor. M.A.H.A’s Secretary recited a report about the events organized from the month of October 2011including: 1. M.A.H.A’s new location: 307 Bay ridge ave Brooklyn 11209. 2. Arabic classes are now given at: P S 170 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Saturdays Only from 10 am to 2:30 pm 3. Turkey Distribution for Thanksgiving in front of State Senator Martin J. Golden office. 4. Participation of M.A.H.A in the Tenth Anniversary of the Arab American Association. - M.A.H.A’s Treasurer gave the Financial Report and reminded the members of the importance of financial support and commitment to keep this House going. - Certificates of Appreciation were given to SAFIA EL BOUCH (a volunteer teacher) and ANIS AOUAM (an active member) for their continuous support to M.A.H.A and its members… - At the end of the meeting, there was a time for Questions / Answers and suggestions which actually enriched M.A.H.A’s scope to improve and meet its members expectations. وبالله التوفيق View pictures |

| Activity : Saturday Classes Date: 07/09/2011 Time: 10:00 Place: Arab American Association Description: MAHA offers free classes to its members' kids every Saturday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. The ongoing classes are Quran recitation and Arabic language (speaking and writing) Future classes will be Maths for kids for a variety of shool grades. | Activity : Soccer Tournament Date: 05/29/2011 Time: 13:00 Place: Park Description: In order to show a diversity in its activities, MAHA organized a soccer game between Queens and Brooklyn. The main purpose of the game is to make MAHA members share some moments of joy while kicking the soccer ball and score couple of goals. Both teams exhibited some considerable qualities in the control of the ball. They also emphasized that you cannot win the game by yourself, but you need to act effectively as a member of a team. This is exactly what is required from you when you become a member of an organization like MAHA. You need to take part in all its activities, stress the team work and take the initiative to suggest new ideas... Congrats to the winning team. View pictures |
